Membership Cancellation Policy
At Thousand Smiles Dental Clinic, we are committed to At Thousand Smiles Dental Clinic, we aim to provide flexible and transparent membership plans that support your long-term oral health. This Cancellation Policy outlines how you can cancel your membership and the terms that apply.
1. Minimum Membership Term
All membership plans (Signature Care and Signature Elite) require a minimum commitment of 12 months from the date of enrolment. This ensures that patients receive the full preventive benefits included in the plan.
2. Cancelling Your Membership
After completing the minimum term:
- You may cancel your membership at any time
- A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or in person)
Your membership will remain active until the end of the notice period, and payments will continue during this time.
3. Early Cancellation (Before 12 Months)
If you choose to cancel your membership before completing the minimum term:
- You may be required to repay the cost of any treatments or services received at the standard (non-member) rate
- Any discounts applied during your membership may be reversed and charged accordingly
- An outstanding balance must be settled before cancellation is finalised
This ensures fairness, as membership plans are designed around long-term preventive care.
4. Non-Refundable Payments
When you enrol in our membership plans:
- Monthly membership fees are non-refundable once paid
- No refunds will be issued for unused benefits, missed appointments, or partially used plans
5. Missed Payments & Automatic Cancellation
- If monthly payments are missed, your membership may be suspended
- Continued non-payment may result in automatic cancellation of your plan
- Any outstanding balances must be cleared before rejoining
6. Effect of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
- All membership benefits and discounts will immediately cease
- Any future appointments booked under the membership may be cancelled or charged at standard rates
- You will no longer have access to included services such as hygiene visits or examinations
7. Rejoining a Membership Plan
Patients who cancel their membership may rejoin in the future; however:
- A new minimum term may apply
- A dental assessment may be required before reactivation
8. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In cases such as medical issues, relocation, or financial hardship:
- Cancellation terms may be reviewed at the discretion of the Practice
- Supporting information may be required
